BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: VISIONS programs are grounded in a philosophy that has been changing the lives of teenagers for over 30 years. We believe it is best to do one thing and do it well. Across all our programs we have one model, built on the pillars of meaningful service, full cultural immersion and open-minded exploration and adventure. This is not a teen tour. This is a time to step outside of yourself, to do more and be more. Our student volunteers work among Blackfeet people on Montana Indian reservations and abroad in South America and the Caribbean.

Wilderness/Nature, Waterfront/Aquatics, Adventure, Horses/Equestrian, Travel, Fine Arts/Crafts, Soccer, Baseball, Academics, and more. Community Service, Language Immersion, Animal Welfare.

CAMP FACILITIES: For all of our programs we stay in the heart of the community. Depending on location, we stay in schools, community centers, and rented homes.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For thirty years, VISIONS has set the standard for domestic and international community service programs for high school and middle school students. We strongly believe that collaborative service work and cross-cultural living help our teen volunteers understand a complicated world and learn meaningful ways to contribute productively.
VISIONS collaborates with local nonprofits and makes long-term commitments in our communities. We have worked in all locations for more than 20 years, and in some places for more than 30 years. You typically get to choose from three different worksites during the week, and work until mid-afternoon. Our community service projects are a way we thank the local friends who welcome us into their lives.
Cultural learning and friendship are core to VISIONS. You experience the culture in a way that is unique from being a tourist. You share common goals and work with local people to achieve those goals. You may be surprised by what you have in common with people whose lives are so different from your own.
All of our summer leaders are CPR and First Aid certification and undergo extensive training at the Montana homebase before departing to the program location. All leaders have reference and background checks, extensive training, and first aid certifications at minimum. Leaders include teachers, outdoor educators, Masters and Ph.D. students, returned Peace Corps volunteers, carpenters, and other professionals.

From wolf and bear to vast herds of elk to spectacular wildflower-filled meadows and expansive forests beneath snow-covered mountains, the Yellowstone hiking backcountry is second to none. Yellowstone backpacking means diversity.
The Park has an amazing variety of landscapes, and because each trip visits a different area of the Park, each guided Yellowstone backpacking trip is a unique adventure, like no other. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: EXCLUSIVE at FLYING LION Kids Aerial Yoga Rainbow Class or Children on the Spectrum or with Disabilities
We cater to your child's needs. If you have a child who would benefit from a more individualized class setting-we offer The Rainbow Class. This class holds 4 children per class.
Taking place, once a month, an instructor who has experience in working with children with disabilities will lead this 45min class starting with a warm up of the body and vocals. Following some coordination and movements exercises, along with sensory development and experimenting with the fabric of the hammock. To not overload the body with too much stimuli, this class is taught with lights dimmed and music consists of nature sounds, rather than songs. Class ends with lights turned off and a gentle sleepy cool down.
Parents are allowed to participate in class with their child, if you choose to not leave their side. Parents who do so, will not be charged a class fee.
If your financial funds are limited, but you want your hani-capable child to experience an aerial class, we offer the first class at a highly discounted price. Call Flying Lion for more details.

During a trading of crystals, the Cubs eat their lunch while they enjoy the outside rays. With the art materials provided, the Cubs each make a totem pole of their favorite spirit animal. The remainder of the time is spent designing their own Flying Lion headband, just in time to make it to the floor for a dance-off before parents arrive. Children get to take home all their projects.
