CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Jonah Tabb (Farm Manager) grows over 30 different varieties of vegetables at Teter Organic Farm for donation to local food pantries and for sale locally. He believes that nature and gardening can transform how kids see the world. Jonah has worked on a variety of farms over the past 13 years, raising everything from goats to watermelons. He spent 4 years in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, rebuilding houses and establishing urban farms in food deserts. Previously, Jonah designed and delivered outdoor educational curriculum for the Lousiana Outdoor Outreach Program, incorporating state educational standards with outdoor activities. He has AAS Degree in horticulture, and previously managed 10 acres in organic vegetables for Chicago restaurants and farmers markets. Jonah and his wife Ali live on the farm with their two dogs, Bella and Tilly.

MaryEllen St. Angelo (Farm Camp Director) has spent most of her life immersed in nature, food, kids and education, so Teter Farm Camp is a slice of heaven for her! MaryEllen has taught K-8 music and private voice lessons, been a substitute teacher, and currently works in 7 school libraries in Carmel. She co-founded the Plots to Plates Community Garden in Carmel in 2011 and co-created a standards-based garden field trip for elementary school students. Over 2,000 students have visited the garden for these field trips, learning how to grow food and care for the ecology that makes it possible. She began volunteering at Teter Organic Farm in February 2018 and is grateful for all that she has learned from Farmer Jonah and the other volunteers. MaryEllen has a son and a daughter in college and is currently earning a Masters in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College. She plans to start her own organic farm in the near future.

In addition, an optional payment plan is available, depending on the family's need.
