BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Sonlight, a great place for kids. A place to get away, face challenges, grow, learn, and develop character. Camp is where kids are in the presence of Jesus. Camp is community, accepting the challenges of working with others, and a place to play hard in a safe environment. Camp is about life, becoming more committed, asking tough questions, playing within boundaries, and growing to be better people.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Wilderness/Nature, Waterfront/Aquatics, Adventure, and more. Sonlight Camp Also Provides Week Long Wilderness Backpacking Trip For Youth Groups.
CAMP LOCATION: Sonlight Christian Camp is located in southwest Colorado at 8,000 feet. We border the San Juan National Forest. Our 120 acre camp is 7 miles north of Pagosa Springs, CO in a forested location. "Beautiful" would be a great word to describe the area and the camp. CAMP FACILITIES: Sonlight has modern log lodges and cabins. All building are carpeted and have their own bathroom facilities. The beautiful Colorado mountains are all around us with breath taking views of high peaks and snow covered mountains. Over 20 different activities are available to campers from digglers, mountain bikes, rafting, hiking, backpacking and tons of meadow games. It's simply too much fun!
